On this listing you simply choose which type and thickness of stable mat you require and check out. We suggest that the 24mm mats are suitable for horses up to 15hh, the 34mm mats up to 16hh and the 44mm mats for horses bigger than this. The thicker the mats, the more comfort there will be.

We advise that horses and ponies with road nails or studs should not use any EVA floor matting products and you should check out the rubber stable mats in our eBay store.

Interlocking Stable Mats | 24 or 34mm

In respect of the interlocking EVA mats each mat is made up of 6 interlocking 2ft x 2ft mats so for 1 mat you actually get 6 of the 2ft x ft mats, for 2 mats you get 12 and so on. This gives you the same coverage as a standard 6ft x 4ft mat with the added benefit that the mats lock on all 4 sides. 

IMPORTANT NOTE - 1 Box of mats for the interlocking mats when fully locked together is EXACTLY 6ft x 4ft. HOWEVER, if you then choose to lock 2 mats together you will need to remove the edging strips on the sides - this then reduces each mat size by 2 inches on the width and 4 inches on the length.

NOTE this only applies to the EVA mats. The rubber top mats mentioned above are 6ft x 4ft per mat which lock on the longest sides only.

About Rubber Topped Stable Mats

Our Rubber Top EVA mats are very popular for horse stables as they offer the combination of a harder wearing top surface with the increased comfort that EVA provides. The top of the mats is 6mm of rubber composite mixed into the EVA which gives added strength whilst still offering the benefit of being lightweight.

Our Mat thicknesses are measured from the bottom of the disc on the underside to the top of the diamond on the top side.  Thicknesses may vary by up to 5% either way and the weight by up to 10% due to the makeup of the material.

EVA Stable Mats have become increasingly popular over the last few years due to their ease of use and the superior comfort levels they provide to horses. The Rubber Top EVA have been proven to be even better. We have a large range of mat designs and thicknesses. All our horse mats are made from the highest grade EVA and rubber. Ethylene vinyl acetate is a foam material which cannot collapse or go hard and has greater thermal insulation than most rubber stable mats.

Our rubber top horse mats that use this foam and rubber compound are much lighter at approximately one fifth of the weight of traditional rubber stable mats. This makes them very easy to fit and very manageable to remove, clean and refit when required.

The mats are manufactured with your horse in mind to provide a permanently soft and insulated stable floor so you can safely reduce bedding without compromising the comfort of your horse.

All our EVA mats come in a standard 6’ x 4’ (1.82 x 1.22 m) mat size and all have a raised disk bottom design to allow maximum drainage in all directions.
