Upgrade your Ford Powerstroke 6.0L OR 7.3L (automatic transmission only) starter with this kit along with a 6.7L starter for increased RPM starter rotation that will fire up a healthy truck much faster compared to OEM stock 6.0L starter. This is a very common and easy upgrade that will increase RPM cranking speed and as a result oil pressure builds up faster, less wear and tear on oil system, batteries could last longer, cranking time is much lower. Ford themselves did the upgrade on later model Powerstroke engines.


6.7L Powerstroke starter bolt and sleeve kit for 6.0L OR 7.3L engine. Will fit any 6.0L and 7.3L Ford Powerstroke (automatic transmission only) whether it's a Super Duty, Excursion, Econoline, tow truck or equipment truck...with automatic transmission only. This will not work with the manual ZF6 manual transmission. Manual transmission is known to have a thicker adapter plate that will require a longer bolt, this is not for a manual transmission.


This is for one bolt and one sleeve to properly install a 6.7L Ford Powerstroke starter on to a 6.0L or 7.3L Ford Powerstroke engine. 2 of 3 starter bolts are reused but third bolt located on bottom will have to be replaced with this kit.  I cannot guaranty fitment, but this bolt is known to fit all engine date codes of the 6.0L and 7.3L. The sleeve is known to fit all engine date codes as well...but some 6.0L engine blocks may have a slightly larger bolt hole that will cause this sleeve to fit loosely. 7.3L may vary as well.
