First Edition Biography of James Monroe entitled James Monroe by W.P. Cresson (Easton Press, Norwalk, CT,  copyright 1986). Bound in beautiful dark blue weathered leather with 22 karat gold accents on the book's front and back covers, spine and book block.

Printed on archival paper with a silk, gold moire ribbon page marker. Book spine has distinctive, elegant ridges and all pages are sewn into the binding. The book also comes with The “Library of the Presidents Bookplate” and a heavy card stock one page “Collector’s Notes,” summarizing Monroe’s life.

While the books are expertly made, ironically the end result is that of a really old looking book. The gold trim, and cracked leather binding instantly give off the vibe of a much older product. The nicety of these products is that they are brand new, have the antique feel, and are heirloom quality.

There are no stray marks, inscriptions, tears or staining. The gold accents are crisp and clear. The book appears to have never been read.
