From an estate sale. Beautiful Meiji period, 1868-1912, large Japanese Kutani, hand painted bowl, made by Tsujimoto. The bowl is based on the Hyakumin Isshu and it depicts the one hundred poets, one poem each. The first poem first, was written by Emperor Tenji around 670. The bowl has no nicks, chips, or cracks. No scratches or gouges. No stains or discoloration. No restoration. Some of the writing shows wear. Fully decorated on the outside also. Bowl measures approximately 10 1/4" in diameter and approximately 3 1/4" in depth. Returns are accepted only if I have not accurately described the item. Pictures are a part of the description.
