This new 2 pack is gray and it is from an open package and from Fluval.  It is genuine part #A20017. They are the tips needed for after you cut the RIBBED hosing that connects to the intake and out take parts of the filter. This item came from a NEW kit and it is unwrapped/unused/new and a genuine product.
It is for these Fluval canister filters models:

304, 305, 306, 307, 404, 405, 406, 407

 DIRECTIONS:
Once you cut your one piece long ribbed hosing to the proper length for your tank, you will have a raw edge.  This raw edge is what the wider part these rubber pieces slide over.  When inserting, do NOT twist, just wiggle back and forth for a good seal. One of them goes into the side of the tank with the intake stem and the other goes into the output nozzle on the other side of the tank.
