Antique Chinese Gilded Jewelry Chest.

Authenticate hand carved wooden chest of drawers. A stunning chest with six draws of carved pierced lotus leaves. The side panels of the chest are inset with hand carved mythical Chinese creature called a Kylin. The Kylins are equal to Unicorn, they are bringers of peace. The bottom apron has two carved dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl of wisdom. Mirrors originally backed the piercings, some draws still have the mirrors, others it is missing. I have restored and cleaned the chest and I also added very minimal small draw pulls as to not draw attention to the pulls. Bottom apron has been reattached and the legs are reinforced all with a wood glue. The legs are bowed a bit, totally natural bending of the wood over time, chest still sits evenly on all four legs with wobbling. The black tar on the bottom was a very old way of fixing wooden cabinets long ago, shows it age. The black and red paint is original and has not been touched up to keep its natural aged beauty.
