Our snap fasteners are genuine DOT brand as used by 99% of boat canopy designers in the UK.
They come in 4 different materials, Brass nickel plated, military oxide black, 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel.

You have to choose what you require from the drop box.
If you select :
Cap only - You will receive just the domed caps
Socket only - You will receive just the sockets
Stud only - You will receive just the studs
Post only - You will receive just the posts
Cap and socket - You will receive the cap and socket
Cap, socket and stud - You will receive the cap , socket and stud
Cap, socket, stud and screws - You will receive the cap , socket, stud and black screws
Cap, socket, stud and post - You will receive the cap, socket, stud and post.
You can then choose if you need the 3 pc tool kit by selecting YES or NO
Usually the cap and socket goes onto the fabric and connects to the stud on the deck , or the stud and post on another piece of fabric.
The CAP is 15mm diameter across the smooth surface
The SOCKET is 10mm diameter across its internal hole where the spring sits
The STUD measure 10mm diameter where the SOCKET snaps onto
The screws are No6 x 1/2" pozi countersunk DIN 9782 in stainless steel 316 zinc black coating
Tooling
The tools in this kit are great for fitting a few dozen snaps, however if you are more , I would highly recommend upgrading to the heavier 3 pc tool or even better the Hoover Press n Snap tool in our other listings
