Offered here is this pocket size guide titled English Silver Hallmarks. The book was edited by Judith Banister, and has a copyright date of 1970, published by W. Foulsham & Co. LTD. It includes marks of origin on Scottish & Irish Silver Plate from circa 1554 and has 500 of the more important makers marks from 1697-1900. It is in good condition, with the spine and binding holding well. There is a good bit of wear to the cover and outer spine, with some tearing and fading, but the pages are all intact and the binding is holding well. The book is 6.25” long, 3.75” wide, and .25” thick. This is a nice reference book that will be a must have tool for anyone who collects silver and silver plate.
