STRICKLAND VINTAGE WATCHES

Old Vintage Estate Men’s 1950 Lord Elgin Wristwatch w/Yellow Gold-Filled Case- RUNNING

We at Strickland Vintage Watches have had the privilege of buying fine things from around the world, often acquiring entire estates just to get one piece. There might be several good items in a group that are outside our sphere of interest. However, they may just be the wonderful treasures you've been seeking!

Here's a perfect example of such an item: a handsome, original men’s estate vintage 1950 Lord Elgin dress wristwatch that is running as I write this. Very stylish; very Mid-Century in yellow gold-filled and completely original, with fine original crystal; stylized gold foil numerals; tonneau case and original manual-wind 626 21 ruby-jeweled mechanism that’s better than what you’d find produced today (!) Measures approx. 37mm lug-to-lug by 15mm wide -- overall a mesmerizing work of art with incomparable patina!

Whether you’re gathering signature wardrobe pieces for your next shoot/production, looking for something different for the boardroom or just recognize the genius of the house of Elgin National Watch Company and want to rake in admiration at the coffee haus, this piece might be just the ticket. Excellent wrist stance!

Please bear in mind while this watch has an exceedingly cool wrist presence and has run for us, it has not been serviced. One must have the watch cleaned, oiled and calibrated before wearing it as an everyday driver.

Bonne Chance!
