These three diecast models are beyond cool. These toy models are made in about 1/35th scale, give or take 1 nth. The bottom of the cars lists the size as 1/32 but that can't be right; they're smaller than my 1/32 scale Ford GT slot cars.

I'm selling all 3 cars together as a package. The cars are 5 inches long, by 2 inches wide by 1 inch tall.

These are not close but EXACT replicas of the 3 Ford GT-40s that finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 1966 24 hours of LeMans, France, sports car race- the most famous sports car race in the world. The colors are spot-on, the pin-striping is correct, they have full interiors, clear glass windshields, real rubber tires, etc.

These are the exact cars featured in the recent movie "Ford vs Ferrari", finishing in those top-3 positions. Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon (black car) finished 1st because they'd traveled further to get to the starting line, as opposed to the 2nd place car of Denis Hulme and Ken Miles (light blue) who started closer to the finish line. The 3rd place car of Dick Hutcherson, a NASCAR driver, and Indy car driver Ronnie Bucknum was a few laps behind (gold car).

Ken Miles was completely torqued off by the staged-finish by Ford executives that didn't work out as planned; and Miles never agreed with the hair-brained idea. The organizers of the race, the ACO, refused to allow a "tie", giving the victory to McLaren and Amon- yes, that McLaren of still current Formula 1 fame and Can-Am sports car racing. McLaren died in 1970 in a sports car testing accident (as did Miles only months after the LeMans fiasco). Amon went to his grave, decades later, claiming he and Bruce really did win fair-and-square and that Miles was way off-base in his accusations. Certainly, everyone has an opinion.

Again, these are the sweetest, most well done replicas I've seen in a very long time. And what makes them even neater is they wind-up and actually drive forward once you let go of them; yes, those really neat pull-back style cars you'll remember as a kid. While these are indeed, technically, toys and can be played with- but for me, I'm purely displaying them. The paint schemes are spot-on and they'll look great on your office shelf or desk top with other diecast cars 10-times more expensive; they're beyond cool and great conversation pieces !!!
