This DVD (and any other DVD released anywhere in the world) will play just fine on any multi-region DVD player, bought in USA or elsewhere. It will also play on most computers' DVD drives. Some consumers actually own a multi-region DVD player, without knowing it. All you need to do if you own such Philips, Akai, CyberHome or other DVD player is to use your remote control to switch it to multi-region mode. As such features are almost always not documented by the DVD player's manufacturer, we'd recommend you check your DVD player's capabilities by searching the web for the words 'videohelp DVD Player and Blu-ray Player region codes' and choosing the very first link found.
For our USA customers, if you need an advise for a inexpensive ($30-$40) US DVD player, please feel free to contact us or to read our recommenations here: Our DVD player recommendations. Please keep in mind that we do not sell DVD players.

This DVD does not contain pornographic material and may be lawfully sold to and viewed by minors.

Synopsis:
Temuera Morrison returns as Jake, the Muss, in WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED?, the outstanding sequel to Once Were Warriors. Five years have passed and Jake has turned his back on his family. He's still up to his usual tricks in McClutchy's Bar, unaware, as he downs his latest opponent, that his eldest sone, Nig, has died in a gang fight. The uncomfortable family reunion at Nig's funeral sparks a confrontation with second son Sonny, and sets Jake and Sonny on a downward spiral. One is drawn deeper into the violence of gang life, and the other begins a journey to open up to responsibility and change. But is it too late, has tragedy already struck?

This sequel to the New Zealand-set drama 'Once Were Warriors' revisits alcoholic Maori man Jake Heke (Temuera Morrison) and his wife, Beth (Rena Owen), who have separated, largely due to his excessive drinking. When their older son, Nig (Julian Arahanga), is killed in a gang fight, his brother, Sonny (Clint Eruera), becomes determined to avenge his death. Attempting to change his life for the better, Jake tries to help Sonny avoid Nig's tragic fate.

Jake 'the Muss' Heke is now fighting to save his son Sonny from a gang lifestyle after his eldest son, Nig, is killed in a gangland shootout. Jake goes through a period of hopelessness as he tries to restore his family to a functioning state after his anger and drinking (depicted in the first film) tore them apart. He still has trouble accepting the old traditional ways of the M?ori people, but he begins to realise the importance of family and regrets what his former actions have done to them. Towards the end of the film, Jake does his best to reconcile with his family, even going so far as to save his son's life despite great personal risk to himself. This action, along with several others, serve to highlight Jake's changing characteristics.
