This is a VERY RARE antique c1820-1840 perfume bottle with historical significance. The stained red glass cut to clear has extremely finely cut and detailed pictures of temples and castles overlooking the Rhine river and  valley in Germany or Austria. Each of the 4 cut scenes also have their names etched in the glass underneath the picture. eg: "Tempel ad Neiderwald" "Faben (castle) Wes Berg" (plus 2 more) The pictures show these historical sites in perfect detail. There is also a finely cut floral wreath, bunches of grapes with vines and leaves surround the bottle etc.
This is probably an item made in the 1800s as a "Grand Tour" souvenir.
There is a signature initials in red on the bottom "JC".
The condition is antique perfect: there is a tiny nick on the top rim (too small to see in the photographs)  There is no stopper ( and not ground for a stopper).
Size: It is 3" tall, 1 1/2" across the flared neck and 4 1/4" across the base.
All fine items are triple wrapped, double boxed, tracked and insured for delivery.
