You are bidding on a rare set of four vintage linen cloth placemats in an abstract teal & chartreuse print. Depicting two knights on horses, jousting on medieval castle grounds. The set is from a recent estate sale with a lot of period 1960s / 1970s furnishings and household items.
The set seems unused, stored in a linen closet. Three of the four mats are in mint condition. Only the top one shows signs of storage in form of light discoloration or stains (?) in three of the corners. Please, look at the pictures. They are part of the description. The actual colors are more muted than in the pictures. A beautiful teal and mustardy chartreuse.
Each placemat measures approximately 18 x 11 1/2 inches. The set would make a great addition to your MCM decor or dining table.
