Description:
1891 autograph signed letter by Author Clement Wise ("An Assumed Name"). Folded sheet with the letter mounted and visible on both sides, with an Article in "The Freeman" about his publication "Puritanism in Power".
The letter states:
"Rocklands
Clarring [?] Road
Bristol
10 Aug /91
My Dear Sir
I am favoured with your letter c/ 14th ..... I feel it will have ......to contribute to the signatures you are collecting.
I have a few autographs of value myself but very few in duplicate, so that I can scarcely promise to aid you further. If however on some future occasion when at leisure to review them, I find any to spare - I will have pleasure in offering them for your acceptance
