This necklace & earrings set is from the estate of my great-aunt, a tribal citizen who was a collector of Native American art and fine jewelry (primarily Navajo). This gorgeous set features paddle fringe on both the earrings and necklace. Each fringe pieces features wooden beads on a sterling silver wire, and ends with a piece of rough (raw) lapis in a cage setting of silver wire.
This piece fans out around the neckline and is really stunning when worn. Necklace is 18", with 3" fringe hanging from the bottom. My aunt was frequently attending Native American tribal festivals and art shows throughout the Southwest. While this piece is unsigned, I'm sure she bought it from one of the many Navajo artists she knew/met (and dated!).
