Pectin is a component of water-soluble dietary fiber. In its natural state, it is found in the cell walls of fruits and vegetables. Our low-sugar (amidated) pectin is extracted from the peels of citrus fruits, which have the highest pectin concentration of about 20-30% m/m1.

Why choose amidated pectin?

Citrus (amidated) pectin is a 100% natural product. It contains fewer methyl groups, so it gels in a wider pH range of 3.0 and requires less sugar content (concentration at 65%). Amidated pectin is used extensively in the food industry.

It has gelling and thickening properties.

In the food industry, pectin is added to a variety of products, from sauces to jams, marmalades to low-calorie desserts or jellies. Pectins help maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. Beneficial effects occur when 6 grams of pectin are consumed daily.
