A Theory of Justice

FIRST EDITION, SECOND PRINTING

By John Rawls

Hardcover with Price-Clipped Dust Jacket

This is a FIRST EDITION, SECOND PRINTING of Harvard political philosopher John Rawls’s magnum opus, A Theory of Justice.

The book itself is in very good condition but for (1) a small gift inscription to the front free endpaper and (2) a little less than 3” of tearing or splitting to the bottom of the interior rear hinge (which tearing or splitting does not extend through to the exterior joint of the book — that is, you cannot see this from the outside of the book, such as when the book is closed and the jacket is off). Please see photographs. The book otherwise is clean, bright, tightly and squarely bound, and unmarked, with absolutely minimal shelfwear and edgewear. Please see photos as to condition.

The dust jacket is in very good- condition but for the fact that it is price-clipped and has some chips, creases, rubbing and small tears. Please see photos as to condition. The jacket’s color remains a vibrant green.

This scarce, important, and highly collectible book is not remaindered, not ex-library, and not a book club edition. It will be shipped bubble wrapped in a box, with signature confirmation for delivery required.
