World War II (1939-45) Commemorative Cufflinks

These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine Royal Air Force (RAF) buttons (King George VI) from the era of the Second World War, approximately 80 years ago.  This pair of cufflinks is made from two darkened brass Royal Air Force buttons.  These RAF buttons date from the era of the Second World War and the famous Battle of Britain.  More than a million men and women served in the RAF during the war and more than 70,000 personnel were killed during WWII.  The cufflinks are made with a gold-plated swivel back that contrasts beautifully with the dark buttons, with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel.  They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 18 mm in diameter.

They represent a unique part of RAF and British history and the darkened brass buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are approximately 80 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.

This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of Second World War history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks.  They are presented in a luxury leatherette and velvet box and cardboard sleeve to make them the perfect present (a wooden box is available on request; please message me).
