An antique carved alabaster wall plaque from Notre Dame de Lorette, the French National War Cemetary.

This depicts the Lanterne des Morts.

This site was developed just after the First World War as a cemetary for lost soldiers.

c.1920.

Approx. 26 x 18 x 2cm.

Sadly slightly damaged but still a rare, interesting and decorative item.
