This Lotus Mist Burmese Vase, clearly marked "Original" is most likely the original 'sample' of Stacy William's design for replicating by the other hand-painters.  This beautiful vase is a rare piece  from the talented artisans at Fenton Art Glass; done in the Lotus Mist Burmese (which glows-in-the-dark under a black light due to the uranium in the glass mixture) and hand painted with the Ginko Leaves by Stacy Williams who is also the designer.  Stacy Willliams is the epitome as a designer of so very many Fenton creations.  She was, at the time, one of a select few designers and she designed some of the most intricate and beautiful paintings that the other painters in that department brought their talents to recreate in that same likeness.  There is no Fenton sticker label, nor the Fenton logo.

I purchased this piece from the home of the top dealer of Fenton Art Glass in the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN area.  He had access to the attic 'jewels' at the Fenton factory.  So this Stacy Williams hand painted and signed vase was not just gorgeous but a significant piece to own; in his expert opinion.  He kept the best in his home but was starting to slowly relinquish his beauties due to his age.  He graced my husband and I with the privilege of purchasing items just as he arrived back from a Fenton buying trip before taking them to his store.

Selling my Fenton treasures to a new home for others to enjoy!

Every home should have a piece of Fenton Art Glass to 'have and to hold" to delight people of all ages!  This item is an exquisite part of the history of glass making in America.  The beauty and uniqueness of this VASE was done by the artisans of the blown art glass making industry with the greater than 100 years of expertise at the Fenton Art Glass plant in Williamstown, West Virginia.  This decorative art glass making process is a conglomeration of the many glass making artisans with the final unprecedented hand painted design making every piece unique; hand-painted by different individual artists. This art form is now in jeopardy; getting quite scarce, with the closing of one factory after another.  Surely every Fenton Art Glass object will be adored by every generation until these fragile art objects disappear.
