at the time of the original theatrical release of
the film in Japan.
These beautiful tickets are intricately designed, featuring

very similar to movie posters.

Most movie tickets,
which have been used, may have general signs of wear, such as
light edge wear,
a minute chip, or unobtrusive smudges due to the
fact that the ticket has gone through several people.

This is the ORIGINAL MOVIE TICKET issued in 1983 by TOHO Cinemas in Japan
when STAR WARS: EPISODE VI-RETURN OF THE JEDI was released
and it was used for the showing inside the theater.

Here is a beautiful Japanese Movie ticket (minus the stub-end) from
STAR WARS: EPISODE VI-RETURN OF THE JEDI ©1983 Lucasfilm, Ltd.
The
item was used several years ago and may have a theater stamp or printing on the
back of the ticket.
And, there may be a rough edge where the ticket stub-end was removed by the usher.
The ticket was only available during the venue and NOW very difficult to obtain.
it is not restored, it is not cropped and it is not a stock image.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ARTWORK ON THE MOVIE TICKET
This beautiful Japanese movie ticket that bleeds to the edge of the printing area
contains
the Paykos Phior design and Tim Reamer art with the famous hands of Luke Skywalker
holding
his blue light saber illustration framed in a light blue border.
At the top
of the artwork in red lettering, it reads, "Star Wars シリーズ第3弾⇒エピソード完結篇!"
(Star Wars Series 3rd ⇒ Episode Complete!).
In the lower right-hand
corner of the design is a small inset English Return of the Jedi
logo.
At the bottom of the ticket in the lower middle third is the
credits area block.
Centered on the black background is the blue/red
Japanese title logo スター・ウォーズ ジェダイの復讐
with the cast and crew
information below it.
The 20th Century Fox, Dolby Stereo, and the Eirin
(映倫 58155) emblems,
along with the copyright (© Lucasfilm Ltd. LFL 1983)
are printed at the bottom & corners of the ticket.

The ticket actually looks like a "micro-poster" from the Japanese theatrical
STAR WARS: EPISODE VI-RETURN OF THE JEDI.
The size of the ticket is about 6.5cm x 13.5cm...
a pretty large size as a movie ticket!!!
Here, in the USA, tickets have no illustrations...just some verbiage.
