Lovely antique original single door knob. Quality solid brass casting with a good weight. The warm shade of brass has been lightly polished by hand and is unlacquered. There are 3 recessed screw holes to the round backplate for installation. This handle dates from the early to mid 1900’s and has the makers name YALE to the underside. Some old solder to the neck possibly to cover up an old grub screw hole which wasn’t needed (see close up photo). Takes a standard square bar spindle.
