These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim.
This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. This book is in VERY GOOD condition. The spine is scuffed up. There is no dust jacket. Actual front and back boards have some damage. No marks or highlighting in text. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. Cover lies flat. All color illustrations. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition.
This booklet is in VERY GOOD condition, especially if you consider it is 95 years old. There is a aging on the cover and minorly on the plates. There is a signature and price in pencil at the top of the front right cover and a bend in that corner. There are some nick, notches, and 3 smaller pieces missing from the front cover and two smaller and a medium thin triangular piece missing from the back cover. There is a piece missing from the first page of the 8-page introduction, about the size of a finger and thumb, like it was torn by being pulled out of the folder. Page 6 has a streak in the upper right quadrent, as if something was wiped off the booklet. All words are readable.
The plates are mostly in amazing condition and are pochoir, so hand colored. Because of the hand coloring, some of the inks have left an imprint on the back of the prior plate. The original owner signed the back of some of the plates in blue ink, which does not detract from the front at all. Plate 2 has a stain on the back, again, not affecting the front, that appears to be of another paper which was acidic and plate 7 has a similar mirror imprint. Plate 6 got scrunched on the lower right bottom corner, which does not effect the illustrations or descriptions below. Plate 9 has a nick and two small tears on the right middle edge that again, does not effect the illustration or descriptions. There is a Butterick Quarterly Early Spring 1927 page on French Chic for the Younger Set stuffed in the back of the folder, because, apparently, where else would you store it? Anyway, we noted everything we saw but assure you this is in VERY GOOD condition. Please see pictures.

PLEASE NOTE: Because eBay is composed of soulless, bloodsucking monsters, and because it is forcing us to use an ISBN number for a book that DOES NOT have an ISBN number, and even when it DOES have an ISBN, still won’t let us use it, so we use one of a random book. Our book is pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is not in this book as it was produced in France. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289. Correct ISBN number is non-existent. We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry!
Note: We are running out of estate books and will be slowly changing over to their other possessions – some serious, some MCM, some just funky, or kitschy. Others are Depression era. Some will be brand new items, still in their packaging, and others will be more mainstream books (from one of the Grandma’s) or some of our personal books or collectables, as we are not leaving this mess to our kids. Shipping – All books are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday on the first day possible after payment is received around 8 to 9 AM. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag. All wrapping and shipping materials are recycled from the cardboard to bubble wrap to 50 year old envelopes. Our packages are ugly, but are very carefully wrapped to arrive safely. We always refund shipping credit if you buy multiple items. Free local pick up. We refund your shipping charges!
