This is an OFFICIAL AMERICAN LEAGUE (Budig) Baseball signed by 2x World Series Champion, 1956 World Series MVP, author of a 1956 World Series Perfect Game and former Browns, Orioles, Yankees, Athletics, White Sox, Giants, Colt .45s, Astros and Cubs pitcher DON LARSEN in blue pen. He added the inscription "10-8-56" under his name. The signature rates an 8.5/10. The ball itself is lightly toned throughout. Please look at pictures for further detail. DID YOU KNOW? Larsen's most notable accomplishment was pitching the only perfect game in World Series history; it is one of only 23 perfect games in MLB history. He was pitching for the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series against Brooklyn on October 8, 1956. His perfect game remained the only no-hitter of any type ever pitched in postseason play until Roy Halladay threw a no-hitter against Cincinnati on October 6, 2010, in Game 1 of the National League Division Series.
Larsen died in 2020 at age 90.
