1800’s Antique Brass Pot Pail Bucket Americana Decor Waterbury Ct HW Hayden EUC.

This a really nice, very early antique brass bucket. Very scarce, very unusual, and very desirible for use or as an Americana antique decor piece.

It would have had a variety of uses on a farm. Obviously, brass, while expensive to buy, had great rust resistance for long life. Possibly intended as a water bucket, but could also be used for cooking.

VERY nice look, with slanted walls. Made of heavy duty sheet brass, with a thick handmade iron bale (handle). The handle has a nice curve. Side holders are riveted with large copper rivets as shown. Measures about 9 1/2" high, 12 1/2” diameter at the top. It has a GREAT SHAPE AND WOULD MAKE A GREAT DECORATOR PIECE IN A VARIETY OF LOCATIONS IN YOUR HOUSE!! Also, can still be used to carry water, for cooking, or hold tools or utensils. In very good condition overall.

This is particularly nice as it is marked and has maker information stamped on the bottom. Rarely found with such maker information. With patent dates and maker.

Very nice looking, very unusual item, and one of the nicer looking early American/Americana items you will find.

A great item for a collection, for display, for re-enacting use, or as a great decorator. VERY RARE TO FIND NICE ANTIQUE BUCKETS IN BRASS.
