Gorgeous Gustavian / Georgian Antique / Vintage Inlaid Mahogany Cylinder Desk / Dressing Table

We have left this beautiful cylinder desk in storage for some time, as we could not decide if we wanted to paint it or not. The top had some stains that were hard to refurbish, but the inlaid front was so lovely that we had to come to some sort of compromise, which was to paint the damaged top black and let the rest of the desk shine to the world. 

It stands proud on elegant tapered legs. As mentioned above, the front has a beautiful shine and inlays. Two spacious drawers with brass pull handles, that has been given a touch of gold. Open the cylinder lid and you will find a leather padded pull out desk, a smaller drawer with a shelf above and several storage compartments. We want to point out that the desk slides out with a bit of a noise. It is an old piece, so it is not perfect. We do not know how old it is, but the way the two main drawers have been made, hints that it is from 1910 era or earlier.

It is in a generally good antique / vintage condition and has the usual marks, dents, stains etc. As mentioned above, the top has been painted black (which matches the leather writing pad), and the sides and back are of less quality mahogany than the front. The bottom part of the legs have some damage to them. Please see photos. 

This elegant mahogany cylinder desk would look stunning in your hallway, study, living room or why not use it as both a desk and a dressing table in your bedroom.

Our courier collects from us on a weekly basis and normally deliver within that same week, but deliveries can take longer depending on your location and/or the timing of your purchase. RETURNS

We accept 14 day returns for any reason from the day of delivery with a full refund. The buyer will be responsible for any transportation costs and the item has to be returned within 30 days in the same condition as sold. 

If you request a bespoke finish/amendment on an item for sale, then our return policy will not be valid on that specific item.
