The ProYo has been around since the early 90's - originally manufactured by Playmaxx and brought to fame in the yo-yo world by YoHans, Duncan purchased the design after Playmaxx closed up shop and continued on making this fantastic yo-yo.
It's got everything you could want from a beginner yo-yo, it has a wooden axle which provides smooth play and high friction response (so that yo-yo will always come back with a tug, unless the string is too loose).
It also has a take-apart design, which is ideal for getting at those pesky knots when you are first learning - and it is a fantastic looping yo-yo (many high level players accredit the ProYo to teaching them good looping play).
