Add that beautiful vintage touch to your furniture or home with these stylish handles from the USSR.

On offer here are a pair of door or furniture handles made of steel, with a rare bone white colored Carbolite (Soviet Bakelite) hard plastic pulls in a lovely aged tone. As you can see, they are very strong and sturdy. Add some shabby chic to your interior project with nice design flourishes that will stand out in a classic way!

In 1913-1914, chemical experiments and research conducted by Russian chemists GS Petrov, VI Lisev, and KI Tarasov were completed successfully - a synthetic plastic was obtained, which was called "carbolite". Carbolite has very valuable properties: it is chemically resistant to water, air, oils, and many acids, has elasticity, and, most importantly, is excellent dielectric, and easy to machine. All this ensured the widespread use of plastic "carbolite" in the Soviet industry.

NOTE: The metal brackets can be swapped so that the screw holes are splayed out, or under, the handle. Check the images to see.
