1) "Bobik visiting Barbos" (Бобик в гостях у Барбоса) by Nikolay Nosov (Николай Носов) is a wonderful fairy tale for preschool age children with drawings by Ivan Semenov. The tale was also made into a wonderful cartoon. Color illustrations (in all 24 pieces), same as in the Moscow editions of the 1950s. Caricaturist Ivan Semyonov (Иван Семенов) was the creator and editor-in-chief of the famous magazine "Funny Pictures".

This tale-story is familiar to most from the cartoon of the same name. It's about the pet dog Barboska and his friend Bobik, the yard dog. Barbosca is a typical pessimist, one of those whose glass is always half empty. Bobik is energetic and cheerful, but in his friend's apartment, he does not understand a lot. Watchdog tries to explain the meaning of incomprehensible things as best he can, but it turns out fun and not always correct. At the end of the story, Watchdog gets too used to the role of the owner and of course, nothing good comes of it. Unlike the cartoon, the book also has a cat named Vaska. He appears only a few lines at the very beginning and at the end, but despite this, it is immediately clear that he is a real friend.

3) "About Topa and About Tipa" (Про Топа и про Тип) by Alexander Balbeki (Александр Балбекин), a lovely children's book about the friendship between a goat and a donkey, about how important it is to feel sorry for loved ones and be able to be friends, with illustrations by V.S. Gladkov (В. С. Гладков). Alexander Romanovich Balbekin (1943 -2015) was a Sovie Kyrgyz actor, director, writer; and Honored Artist of the Kirghiz SSR (1990).
