The
first time that we had copies of this book, they sold out quickly at
the shell shows we attended earlier this year. The book is thorough, and
it covers 462 species belonging to 59 families. The specimens included
came from Mauritiana in the north to Angola in the south. They are fully
described and very beautifully illustrated to make their identification
easy. The shells illustrated with about 3500 color photos, 1600
grayscale photos, and 800 stippled drawings. There are 12 views of each
species in the book. Anyone interested in the molluscan fauna of the
eastern Atlantic will want to add this book to their reference
collections.
