Featured is a set of six vintage 1960 Allan Brooks bird portrait prints.  Allan Brooks (1869-1946) was an ornithologist and bird artist who lived in Canada.

Set 1 includes:

·      Loons and Grebes

·      Surface-Feeding Ducks

·      Swallows

Each card was originally copyrighted in 1934.  These picture cards were copyrighted in 1960 by the University of Minnesota.  Pictures and text are from the book Bird Portraits in Color: 295 North American Species by Thomas S. Roberts, MD.

Each picture card is 6.75” x 8.5” and all are in excellent condition.  Each card includes comprehensive information about the featured bird on the back of the portrait print.

Chuck Olson Collection

Chuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints.  He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960.
