The “Sunday Mainichi” was one of the first weekly magazines in Japan; published by a newspaper, it was started in 1922, the same time as its rival at the Asahi newspaper.  It was a large format pictorial magazine with a popular culture emphasis.  The following 15 issues of the  magazine, from 1928 to 1935,  are offered as one lot.
