This is a brochure for Mercedes top-of-the-line 6-cylinder cars for 1955 in English. (Printed 10-54)

 

Although not called S-class until many years later, these cars represent the top cars with a 6-cylinder engine

·         Type 220 Convertible ‘A’

·         Type 220 2-Seater Coupe

·         Type 300S Roadster

·         Type 300 Sedan (Saloon)

 

 

The brochure shows pictures of:

·         Exterior of all cars

·         The dashboard

·         Trunk compartment

·         Suspension and axle springs

·         Engines

 

Discussion is based on each model (220 Sedan & Covertible discussed together) and mention many of the unique qualities of the cars. There were three engines available which ranged from the 80 hp (220) to 143 hp 300, and the 163 hp 300S. There are technical specifications given for the cars plus a list of standard equipment and extras available.
