In the 5 pack version of madacy entertainment’s American steam collection, you’ll enjoy lots of vintage films & some modern era scenes that were originally produced by Green Frog Productions.


The titles that are in this lot are:


1. Steam in the 50s-originally from 1984 & re-edited in 1991, this full hour tape covers the films of Jerry Carson on every fallen flag railroad from the Norfolk & Western to the Baltimore & Ohio.


2. Steam in the 50s & 60s-originally made in 1993, this half hour sequel covers more films of fallen flag road names from the Duluth & northeastern to the Union Pacific, as all of the scenes were photographed by Tom Strid.


3. Twilight of steam-originally made in 1995, this full hour program covers action from the 1960s & 1970s, as many future famous survivors are shown From Canadian National 4-6-4T number 47 in Vermont to the reading rambles T1 4-8-4s that has 2102 as Delaware & Hudson 302 in 1973, & to the early years of the Conway scenic railroad in the white mountains of New Hampshire with Canadian National 7470 that was renumbered to 47 between 1974-1987. All of these films were photographed by Bill McClean.


4. Steam giants across America-originally released in 1996, it contains countless articulated locomotives from the Norfolk & Western Y class 2-8-8-2s, class A 2-6-6-4s with 1218 on an excursion from another green frog title: Suwannee steam special made in 1990, the Duluth missabe & iron range 2-8-8-4 Yellowstones, & the Union Pacific big boys with challenger 3985 in 1991 on a doubleheader with 844 & on a solo trip from Salt Lake City to McCammon Idaho. Initially enough, a couple of other railroad producers were at the exact same trips as well: pentrex for the best of 1991, the late America by rail co-creator Greg Scholl for steam in the west, & Ken & Ron Durham from another really rare discontinued railroad video company called lasting impressions. All of the vintage films in this program were also used in the steam in the 50s trilogy.


And 5. Steam Shortlines of the south-originally released in 1995, this 45 minutes show contains many steam locomotives on the connection to the major freight hauling mainlines which includes Bonhomie & Hattiesburg 2-6-2 number 250 before it was relocated to the wolfeboro railway in New Hampshire & now it remains on display at edaville park in Massachusetts.


All of these tapes except for steam giants across America were printed on the 137th day of 1999.


Unfortunately, the box holder is nowhere to be found but at least all of the cartridges came with their own individual slip cases.
