* Life collars are custom made with 550 paracord. These collars include a whistle, compass and a flint. In the event of desperate measures, the compass on the collar can be used in collaboration with a map to help guide you to your designated point of destination. If you are in a low profile place and need to be made known of, the piercing sound of the whistle can assist while exceeding 110 decibels if blown properly. It would be no match for the flint/scraper combination within the clip if you were camping and you found yourself needing to start a fire. Most of all, the durable 550 paracord can be unbraided and used for many different operations such as tying knots or even hoisting loads up and down*
