Illustrated with a frontispiece and with several in-text wood engravings. Translated from the German and edited by D.B. St. John Roosa, M.D. Garrison-Morton 3001. Originally published in 1862 in Wurzburg, this is the first English translation of Von Tröltsch's pioneering textbook on otology. Von Tröltsch's research in aural medecine greatly advanced the profession. He was noted for his careful detective work in diagnosing and investigating diseases of the outter and middle ear. He examined a wide range of patients, including infants, in his case studies. A part of the human ear is named after him, and there exists a prize for researchers in the German Ear, Nose, and Throat Society named after Dr. Von Tröltsch. Very Good.
