Description
Vintage hand-made throwing knife / heavy-duty camper knife made in the 1970th-1980th by late Paul D. Rimpler (1935-2016) of Twelve Mile, Indiana, USA. Paul was known for his well-made high quality knives and his "no nonsense" approach to knifemaking. His knives are solid, simple, and practical; the fighters he made for the US serviceman are some of the finest in that category.
This large thrower / hunter-camp knife is about 11-1/2” / 29.3 cm overall; high-carbon steel blade is about 7" / 17.8 cm long and about 6 mm thick at ricasso. This big boy is very well-made; the handle is a plain oval iron guard with stacked leather washers and brass liners finished with a brass buttcup secured with a steel lugnut. The handle is solid; all parts are tight with no play. The blade is stamped RIMPLER in small font on ricasso on one side. The blade is very sharp still; the tip is intact. There is no sheath.
This knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, 100% original condition; these are the actual photos. We combine shipping for up to 3 similar lots; will ship within 24 hrs of the cleared payment. No international shipping for this item, sorry lads.
