The dreamy series FLORA DANICA:
This porcelain is used by the Danish royal family and represents the Royal Copenhagen luxury series.
It is one of the most expensive porcelains in the world. Originally it was ruled by King Frederik IV. Commissioned by Denmark from the Royal Copenhagen porcelain manufactory and originally made as a gift for Tsarina Catherine II between 1790 and 1802. (1729-1796) made by Russia. However, she died before the dishes were completed.
When the service was delivered in 1803, the monarch had been dead for six years.
The 1,802 pieces of magnificent crockery then remained at the Danish court and still adorns the royal gala table on particularly festive occasions.
The detailed paintings and the excellent quality of the porcelain make each piece a unique treasure with over 900 different floral designs.
Flora Danica is now only made to order - with correspondingly long order periods -.
