Also known as X-MEN Volume 2 and published from 1991 this series was launched as a spinoff of the parent title Uncanny X-Men with co-writers Chris Claremont and Jim Lee. Initially the book focused on a team led by Cyclops with the other members forming a squad led by Storm. From 2001 until 2004 it was published as New X-Men. After issue #157 it changed again to its original title and was then renamed as X-MEN: LEGACY.
