Offered here is this wonderful Mid 19th Century Antique Victorian Mahogany Balloon Back Dining Chair with Upholstered Seat. This chair, I believe, dates to the Mid 19th Century, most likely between 1860 and 1870. The chair is in very good condition, with only some light surface scratches on it, that are typical of such an old piece. There are a few areas where the finish is damaged, or chipped off, and these can be seen in the photos. It is a balloon back style chair, with a padded upholstered seat. The upholstery has obviously been redone sometime recently, and is in very good condition, with little sign of wear. The chair has sabre legs on the back, and turned tapering legs on the front. The chair is a smaller size, measuring 34" tall at the center of the back, 14" wide at the back of the seat, 18.5" wide at the front of the seat, 14.5" deep at the seat, 21.5" deep total, and 18" high at the seat. It is just a lovely little dining side chair, in great balloon back shape, and would be a wonderful addition to any antique collection. It is beautiful, and completely functional.
