For decades the poet Allen Ginsberg photographed the "Beat" generation and the countercultures around him. This invaluable visual history is supplemented by Ginsberg's own comments in script beneath each photograph. Included are photographs of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Jack Cassidy, Robert Frank, and many other writers, artists, and friends.

Minimal wear to the boards. Internally, hinges sound. Nice tight binding. Photographs beautifully printed in gorgeous gravure. Clean and very bright. The dust jacket is complete with very light wear. Not price clipped. Now mylar protected. A beautiful copy.
