1957 AUTO-LITE Battery Dealer ADVERTISING 14pg Catalog CLOCKS THERMOMETERS SIGNS

This is an Original Auto-lite Dealer Catalog showing ALL of the various Advertising that was available to them in 1957. It pictures: Clocks, Lights, Signs, Thermometers, Banners, Racks, Neons, Decals, any lists all of the various gimmicks that the Company would provide to the Dealer for Free or at Minimal Cost in order to sell more product. It measures 8 1/2" X 11" and is make to fit into a binder. Its 14 pages PACKED with EVERYTHING Auto-lite had to offer for incentive in Spring of 1957. This came directly from a file so it is in perfect condition and had never been opened before now. It will come shipped in a sleeve.

R.J Loock History and Our Pick

These items were sourced from R.J. LOOCK which was a Baltimore Institution when it came to Automobiles. They operated at the same location : 339-345 N Gay st from 1913 until the neighborhood declined and the last heir retired in 2001. They were not your ordinary cookie cutter automotive parts store like you see today. They were parts distributors as well as jobbers for their own LIGHTNIN Parts line as well as for most of the top brands of the day. They sold: Auto supplies, Replacement parts, Garage equipment, Shop equipment, Tires, Tubes, Oil, Grease, Accessories  and they even had a Complete Machine Shop.

This may not sound different from an auto zone except Loock was responsible for placing products such as Champion Spark Plugs, Quaker State and Gates belts (to name a VERY few products) into EVERY private and municipal garage that used them in a 5 state area. long before the internet and trade shows, these guys were road warriors that sold stuff the hard way on a massive scale. As the 22 floors of samples that they left behind will attest... thats right... I said 22 FLOORS of Samples! R.J.Loock tried to sell ANY quality product that they thought had a chance . Of course, as jobbers they were responsible for placing advertising in the businesses that they catered to as well.

We were lucky enough to purchase salvage rights to this little treasure trove years ago, and this is the last of our treasures! There was no working elevator and the buildings were 4 floors tall with a basement ................................. and they NEVER threw ANYTHING of value AWAY! It took us 2 months full time to sort through and we are now coming to the end of what we have found. If you like high quality out of the box advertising as well as MINT  automotive related collectibles, please bookmark us and keep checking back, we keep finding bits and pieces in our storage warehouse. Shipping leaves around 2pm Eastern Standard Time Monday through Friday, if your item comes in a after 2pm EST your item will ship the following business day.

Shipping is provided by UPS Ground, 2-Day, and Overnight is available for larger items up to 150lbs., you may choose at check out.
WE DO NOT SHIP USING OTHER COMPANIES SHIPPING ACCOUNTS, WE PASS ON OUR SHIPPING DISCOUNTS TO THE CUSTOMER.

UPS Overnight & 2-DAY 

If you want something shipped overnight, shipping generally leaves around 2pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) Monday through Friday. Ebay only gives us 4 options for shipping services, 2-Day is available as well, please inquire. 

Heavy Over 150 Lb Freight

Shipping is provided by Freight Carrier on much larger and heavier items over 150lbs.
For a quote please message us and provide us your zip code, whether it's a business or residence and, if a business does it have a fork lift or dock. We can not get an accurate freight quote without out all this information.

*Local pick up is available on most items by scheduling a pickup day and time, we are located in Millersville MD off of Veterans HWY for most items, and in our storage warehouse in West Baltimore for our larger heavier items. Ebay restricts sharing our address prior to the sale. Once the sale is complete we will certainly give you our exact address for local pick-up purposes but, it needs to be scheduled. Shipping fees will be waived or refunded.

International Shipping
 
We gladly ship international, and is available on all our products. Our products should have an international shipping cost to your location and address that you have registered with eBay as your ship to address. If you do not see a shipping cost, please request a quote.

About Us 

Md Architectural Rescue is a different type of recycling company. We have operated in Baltimore and surrounding areas since 1996. After starting out rescuing fireplace mantles and cast iron door locks from construction dumpsters, we have opened our eyes to may types of waste that are often over looked and fall through the cracks. Our focus is and always will be vintage items of the highest quality. But with our eyes now open we put a lot of effort in bringing you high end collectibles from every industry available and at a very reasonable price. All our items are salvaged and are for the most part American Made. One week we could be in an old School, Brewery, Factory, and the following week at a  Shipyard or Power plant, you just never know. Also, one day we may be removing Vintage lighting, the next day Signs and Vintage blueprints and the following day cleaning out a machine shop or high end parts room. We literally have NO idea what we have coming around corner, so make sure you add us to your favorites and check back often.
