This log coffee table comes with  six spacious drawers ( three per side) each measuring 11.75 inches wide, 10.5 inches deep and 5.5 inches high (inside dimensions) and are mounted on high quality, full extension ball bearing glides for years of trouble free use. 

The top and sides of the stand are made of solid pine, and the log parts ( trim and drawer handles) are all hand peeled with old fashioned draw knives with what we call a skip-peeled method where some of the bark is left on the logs to create a unique rustic look true to western Montana log furniture. 

We choose to work with lodgepole pine as it grows naturally in the forests of NW Montana and is known for its superior strength to weight ratio. It is also straighter, thus making it easier to work the raw wood into the highest quality furniture possible. Our lodge pole pine is harvested in the Kootenai National Forest via a very selective process. Skilled woodsmen select each tree with an attentive eye toward the quality, straightness and size of each specimen. After felling, each piece is hand carried to the road to ensure both the tree and the environment remain unharmed. Then each log is hand peeled, using the skip-peel method where some of the inner bark is left on the logs, creating a beautiful rustic piece of furniture for your home, lodge or cabin. A great plus with any of our rustic log furniture is that any nicks or scratches can easily be covered with a little sandpaper and a dab of whatever finish you choose to finish the stand with. Or leave it as is for extra character.
