Glass is bright and shiny, clean and clear, with no scratch/fungus/haze.
Aperture ring turns, but a little bit tight.
"ROSS LONDON" logo and "Made in England"
were engraved on the barrel.
On original round thick metal lens board.

Rear threads diameter: ~ 67 mm
Diameter of the lensboard: ~158 mm
Serial #: 197791 (both on the front and the back, see pictures)
So the lens is pre-1947.
(previous owner added a tape around the barrel for f numbers to be more easily seen when the lens is mounted on the camera; if you don't need it you can remove it)
A Canon AE-1 camera was put side by side to show the size of the item. The camera is not included of course.
