These two books represent the best books ever written covering this major family of marine mollusks. The books are carefully researched. With full descriptions of the shells at the generic level and above in the introductory section, and further description and classification of the shells on the pages opposite the shell photographs. The photos of top-quality and every detail of the shells, including most of the fossils  is sharp. The approach of combining the recent shells with the fossil shells gives us a great evolutionary understanding of these mollusks. We hope that the authors will continue this series with coverage of the other families in the group. You can see more about these books and some additional photos by searching for the individual titles on my eBay listings.
