Columbia Recs 3 Vintage Compilation LE LP Lot V/A 1961 & 1967 VG-/VG/VG-.

For sale are 3 1st Press compilation LPs released by Columbia Records. They all feature various artists and are Limited Edition collectors items. They are all play graded VG- or better and would be a fine addition to any collection. Please see pics and let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to see more photos. Remember How Great. . . ? This 1961 compilation was released as a collectors item and custom pressed for Lucky Stripes Cigarettes. It contains songs from the first half of the 20th century that were all popular at the time of their original release. Mostly in the genre of jazz and big band, the album features some of the most famous artists of all time such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Cab Calloway. Vinyl is play graded VG-. Several light visible surface marks but nothing deep. Plays with consistent mild background noise of various degrees but never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Cover is also in VG- condition. There is an inch and a half split on top seam from open edge. Another one exists in the middle of the title edge. Corners have minor wear. Ring wear, scuffs and stains on both sides. Still super solid! A good listeners copy of a great compilation album of classics!!

A Golden Encore! This 1967 compilation contains hit songs that sold over a million copies. A Limited Edition Collector’s Album that features some of the best vocalists of the 60s such as, Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Mathis, Julie Andrews and Doris Day. Vinyl is play graded VG. A few light visible surface marks but nothing deep. Plays with mild background noise at times. Never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Cover is also in VG condition. Shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. A two inch crease on back on lower right side. A price sticker on upper right of front. Light ring wear, scuffing and stains on both sides. A very good listeners copy of a great compilation!!

The Golden Greats This 1967 compilation contains “a golden dozen historic performances by twelve of the most renowned artists of our time”. “A Limited Edition Collector’s’ Album produced in Conjunction with the American Freedom From Hunger Foundation.” The music is a mix of vocal greats, iconic musicians and legendary composers. This includes, Andy Williams, Louis Armstrong, Dave Brubeck Quartet and Leonard Bernstein with the New York Philharmonic. Vinyl is play graded VG-. Several visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with consistent mild background noise that is never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Cover is also in VG- condition. Shelf wear on corners and seams. A split has started on top seam from open edge but it is tiny. No others. Ring wear and stains on both sides. Super solid. Would be VG if not for tiny split. A good listeners copy of another great compilation.
