These are 19th century decanters or carafes by the Cristalleries Saint Louis

They are either in the Beethoven pattern or a variation of it.  I don’t know whether they originally had stoppers, but we have a pair that are appropriate looking stoppers that would have to be ground down as they are slightly too large that you can have. We would love to say whether or not these originally had stoppers, but these are so rare we can’t find examples anywhere.

The initials in the monogram are just a guess, perhaps CJF or perhaps CFJ, but I am not sure about the J or even the F. In any case I am sure if you check that combination is your great aunt’s monogram
These came from a large set, we have other pieces listed.

6” in diameter and 9 ¼” tall.
I don't really think the bottoms are sick, there's no pitting as far as I can see, but there is residue from dried water over the years inside that is dang near impossible to get out. The necks are very narrow, so they do not dry quickly, and they're difficult to clean. I did try a soak with warm water and vinegar, and it didn't really seem to touch the buildup. Despite all this, gosh, they're stunningly beautiful.

3 and 2 scratched into the lip very lightly.
