In addition to the original album, this WaxTime collector’s edition contains 4 bonus tracks, which were cut during the same recording period. The bonus material consists of splendid twist numbers like the self-penned “La faute au twist” and “Wap-dou-wap (tu aimes le twist)”, plus “Danse le twist avec moi” (previously popularized by Chubby Checker as “Dance the Mess Around”), and the joyous “Twistin’ U.S.A.”. A versatile vocalist, Hallyday’s inviting style lent itself to edgy rock & roll, danceable twist and romantic ballads.
