ANOINTING OIL

Exodus 30:22-25

 

 

Exodus Oil is used in consecration & separation unto the Lord.

The five ingredients for the preparation of the Holy Anointing Oil. They were chosen of the highest quality. In the Scriptures, this oil was used to pour over the head of the High Priest, his descendants and sprinkle the Tabernacle and its furniture, to mark them as holy and set apart to Jehovah. Our bodies are the temple of the Lord. Today they are used for the same purpose: Ministering, Consecration, Perfuming the secret place that we have set aside to delight in the presence of God.

1. Myrrh = promote physical and spiritual health and was even believed to have protective powers against evil spirits. It is purifying, restorative, revitalizing, and uplifting.

 

2. Aromatic Cinnamon:

The delight of a life of intimacy with God.

 

3. Aromatic Calamus:

Continuity and perseverance in the life of prayer.

 

4. Cassia = To bow the head, to stoop and to strip or cut off..

 

5. Olive Oil:

Oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit
