Zee Sung Chinese Export Silver Sugar Nips/Tong c. 1900

Presenting in good antique order these sugar nips/tongs would not be out of place at any high tea. Hand chased and engraved with much of the gold wash still in place, these well presented tongs are simple yet elegant which is indicative of the offerings of Zee Sung originally of Canton but later of Shanghai.

These simple yet elegant serving tongs do have scratches and bruises but still present very well with any imperfections reflected in the price. 14cm long and weighing 44g, these silver sugar nips would add gravitas to any Chinese Export Silver tea set.
